Oxford University remains one of the safest places to study

The latest University City Crime Statistics for England and Wales, ranking the safest and riskiest universities for student-related crimes, have recently been updated by the Complete University Guide. The Guide is based on a study of official police data dated between May 2014 and April 2015.

The statistics reveal that the University of Oxford is now ranked eleventh safest out of the 122 entries in the survey, indicating that we remain one of the most crime free universities across the country. The ranking is based on the relative levels of crimes of relevance to students, including burglary, robbery, violent and sexual crimes.

Oxford’s high ranking is particularly commendable when considering that we are a large and city-wide collegiate university.
