Estates buildings get ready for Oxford Open Doors

On 9-10 September, several Estates Services buildings and facilities will welcome members of the public as part of Oxford Open Doors 2017.

Three FM event venues – the Examination Schools, the Sheldonian Theatre and St Luke’s Chapel are also set to participate, giving members of the public a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes to keep these iconic buildings running smoothly. Visitors will even get a chance to climb up to the Sheldonian’s cupola, enjoying what has been called Oxford’s finest panoramic view.

The ROQ’s Blavatnik School of Government, Andrew Wiles Building and Radcliffe Primary Care Building are taking part too, while the DLO joiners will once again open the doors of their workshop at the Malthouse to give visitors an insight into the work they do all over the University estate and beyond.

These join many other remarkable buildings around Oxford that will be open over the weekend – see the Oxford Open Doors web pages to find out more. The annual event is organised by the Oxford Preservation Trust.
