Success for Outpatients and the Weston Library

The former Radcliffe Infirmary’s Outpatients’ building and the Weston Library have been shortlisted for two prestigious awards.

The Grade II Outpatients building, which now houses the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, was built in 1941 and has undergone a £14.1m renovation by the University.

It has been shortlisted for the Education Estates awards and the International Institution of Structural Engineers’ Structural Awards.

The Weston Library has also been shortlisted for two categories in the Education Estates awards – refurbishment of the year and client of the year.

The Education Estates awards has seen a record number of entries this year and winners will be announced in October.

The Structural Awards recognise the world’s most talented structural designers and showcase projects that lead industry development. Winners will be celebrated at a London ceremony in November.
