Public Consultation: proposed development of Osney Power Station

The University and Saïd Business School will be holding public consultation sessions on 2 and 3 March on proposals to redevelop Osney Power Station into a world-leading centre for executive education.

The building, in Arthur Street, is considered a local heritage asset for its architectural interest, and the aspiration is to bring the building back into active use by converting it into an executive education centre.

This would offer short stay residential courses in a building that provides bespoke conferencing facilities just a short walk from Oxford Station. The vision is to regenerate and unlock the potential of the building to secure its long-term future.

As part of the initial assessment work on the site, design proposals have been prepared, and members of the public are invited to come along to view these and to give feedback. All feedback will be taken into account in moving forward with the scheme.

The public consultation will take place in two sessions as follows:

Date / Time:

  • Friday 2 March 2018 from 4pm to 7pm
  • Saturday 3 March 2018 from 10am to 12pm

Venue:

  • The Kings Centre, Osney Mead Industrial Estate, Oxford, OX2 0ES

Members of the Saïd Business School, University and the design team will be available to answer any queries.

Feedback is welcomed on the proposals prior to moving forward with the detailed redevelopment proposals for the site. A hardcopy feedback form will be available at the consultation sessions and an online version will follow on the University’s website together with an electronic version of the display information. If unable to attend the public consultation, the proposal is set out in the consultation boards which can be accessed hereOsney Power Station public consultation boards - 02.03.18 (7,704kb) The online feedback form is available here.

Further consultation events will take place once the proposals have progressed and feedback has been sought from Oxford City Council.

We look forward to seeing you.
