'At-risk' and downtime windows

HRIS, in common with other systems, has pre-agreed 'at risk' and formal downtime windows to allow for planned essential maintenance tasks. The need to make use of these time slots occurs relatively rarely, and on each occasion users will be notified in advance. Users should be aware of these possible eventualities when planning vacancy closure dates and ideally should avoid promising to provide shortlisting packs on a Tuesday afternoon.

  • 'At risk' window - This is when work would be undertaken in the system which should not affect users or applicants' use of the system. This period is regarded as 'at risk' due to the small chance that users’ or applicants' use might be compromised. The 'at risk' window for HRIS is Tuesday 2.00 pm to close of business.
  • Downtime window - This is the period of time that is allocated for those rare occasions when essential maintenance work requires all users to be out of the system. The downtime window for HRIS is Tuesday 5.30 pm to 10.00 pm

Please note that whilst every effort is made to stick to this arrangement, there may be occasions when it is necessary to schedule maintenance or upgrade activity requiring system downtime outside these 'windows'. In such circumstances, users and applicants will be advised as quickly as possible.

Inactive Users

The HRIS Support Centre run monthly inactivity reports. Any user who has not logged into CoreHR in the previous 120 days will have their account closed. User accounts can be reactivated if required – please contact the HRIS Support Centre if you need your account to be reactivated.
